Other causes of pelvic pain are many and varied. The best summary is in Dr Fred Howard’s textbook of “Pelvic Pain”.
Injuries to pelvic nerves are far and away the commonest cause of pelvic pain in Western societies. The same may be true in China where there is a “one-child” policy and 60-70% Caesarean section rate. Many women have two or three surgical procedures for termination of pregnancy and that can cause injuries to nerves at the junction of the lining of the womb and the muscle of the womb.
There is much to discuss on this page.
